Accredited Financial Counselor

RequirementsRequirements:
In-depth knowledge in field of personal finance and financial counseling.
Obtain national certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor within first 6 months of employment and maintain certification throughout employment.
Must maintain highest ethical standards.
Highly desired Veteran, military spouse or experience working with military organizations
Education:
Bachelor's degree, OR
Combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree — Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience must equip the individual to serve as a personal financial management counselor and maintain national certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
