ELIGIBILITY:

You are eligible at the NR-01 band level if you are currently accepted for enrollment or enrolled in an accredited high school; OR you are eligible if you are currently enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in an accredited college (including 2-year and 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate in Physical Science or a degree that includes at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as Astronomy, Physics, Geophysics, Chemistry, Hydrology, Health Physics, Engineering, Electronics, Geology, Oceanography, Meteorology, Metallurgy, Biology, Atmospheric Sciences, Mathematics, and Computational Sciences. Enrollment must be on at least a half-time basis. All educational requirements and documentation to verify your eligibility for this position must be provided prior to Entrance on Duty. Grade Point Average (G.P.A) Requirement:
This position requires you to currently possess and maintain an overall G.P.A of 2.5 or greater out of a 4.0 scale. (G.P.A.'s are rounded to one decimal place. For example, 2.45 rounds to 2.5 and 2.44 rounds to 2.4). Your G.P.A. must be reflected in your resume. As part of the application process, you must complete and submit an occupational questionnaire. This position may be non-competitively converted to a position in one of the following series:
1311 or 1301 series within the NR or NP Career Tracks at the 01 or 02 Pay Band levels depending on your highest attained level of education after meeting all regulatory requirements (including qualification requirements), and upon the recommendation of management. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
